Most applications "quit unexpectedly"

For some reason most of my downloaded apps dont open I just get an error message saying the app quit unexpectedly Steam for example I have installed it reinstalled it about 10 times allready but same ressult even some of the games on the app store do the same has someone else had this problem aswell I really need help?
