Request for app purchase (from children) not notified on iPhone when Mac is on or sleeping.

I only get notifications for app request from my son on my Mac, and not my iphone, when my mac is ON or asleep.

When my mac is off, I get it in the notification center on my iPhone.

(So, when I'm out of office, but my mac is on, .... it is a problem.... can't see the request on my iPhone.)

Is this normal, not to get in on both, or are any settings available?
