Macbook Air M1 temperature concerns

Is it okay to put the Macbook Air on a flat surface (bed)? Should I elevate it to avoid overheating? or its okay to put it on a flat surface (bed) because it has no fan in it?

Hello highdra,

From your post it appears you are concerned about the temperature of your MacBook if you leave it sitting on a surface like a bed.

It is best to keep the Mac on a hard surface. There are actually feet on the bottom of the Mac that keeps it raised to allow air flow. When placed on a soft surface like a bed, the bottom is no longer raised.
