Recently booted up my old 2011 MacBook Air.
It's normal running temperature now is around 45-55°C, it this normal? How do I fix it?

Run the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.
Try an SMC Reset.
To look for possible software issues run EtreCheck and post the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.
