How successful are claims if they are through Apple?

tl;dr ups could not deliver my iPhone 12 and probably "lost" it and i ask apple to intiate a lost package investigation. I ask them for a refund and they tell me to wait 2 days. Do you usually get refund in this case?

So recently I ordered an iPhone 12 which was supposed to arrive last Thursday. Thursday comes and they tried to deliver but I am not home to sign so they leave a notice saying they would deliver the next business day. The next day comes and the package says out for delivery for the whole day even though I am home, never delivered. I call UPS and they tell me that there was a problem with the address which doesn't make sense since they were able to attempt delivery at my house. I comply with them and correct the address and they tell me delivery will be rescheduled to the following Monday. Monday comes and the same issue occurs, they cant find the address and they reschedule it to the next day after correcting my address. At this point, I am fed up and just tell them to let me hold for pickup at the UPS Customer Center. The representative does this for me and tells me to wait to get a call from the center. I get a call a few hours later saying they are trying to look for my package which they do for over the course of two days. About more than 24 hours later I don't get any updates so I initiate a lost package investigation. I ask them for a refund and they tell me they will get back to me in 2 days.
