Iphone 7 is in recovery mode. But I get this message "I'm trying to restore my phone and is says "the firmware file is not compatible" so it won't restore or update my device. Help please! thanks
Search your computer for any files of type .ipsw. If you find any, delete them. The location will be different on different computers and operating systems.

Where did you download the firmware file?
I didn't download any firmware file. This is just the message that pops up in itunes when I plug it in to try to restore
Then there’s a previously downloaded iOS file on your computer. You need to find it and delete it.
