Mute Korean/Japanese shutter sounds

I currently live and bought an iphone in Korea which doesn't allow phone cameras to be muted in any circumstances.

However I plan to return home and was wondering if I could remove the shutter sounds since the laws don't bound them anymore.

I understand that it is somehow coded into the device, so if I go to the Apple service center, will they be able to do anything for me?

I am even willing to pay if necessary.

You can try, but I don't think they can modify that option, sorry.

As you said, it's something inside the device (which was manufactured for a country market were laws prohibit to silence the shutter sound).

Regards

Giulio
