Hey,

To recover the mail icon swipe right on the Home Screen until you see the App Library. Then find the mail icon within the App Library. Press and hold on the mail app until a menu pops up. Then click add to Home Screen.

If the mail icon is missing from the App Library then you will need to redownload the mail app from the App Store.
