Floating icon widget that opens to screen reader controls - how to disable?

How do I turn off the widget that I somehow enabled that reads the screen if I tap it? Normally it is just a circle with a ">" on it. It floats. If I tap it it expands to show the word "settings" and presents an open hand, back, play and forward buttons, along with a multiplier for read speed. Tapping the play button will read the screen. I want this widget to be gone but don't remember how I enabled it.
