Why does Carplay not show turn by turn directions instead of the Overall route when using Apple Maps? The turn by turn directions show fine when using Google Maps or Waze but only the full route is shown with Apple Maps. A turn by turn display shows on my Apple Watch but the Carplay display should show this as well. Any answers would be appreciated.

OK, this does not answer the question. Go back and read it again and you'll see that the problem is that CarPlay does announce turn by turn directions but it only SHOWS the full route, not a detailed, moving turn by turn like Google and Waze does. Could this be happening because I'm also wearing an Apple Watch that IS SHOWING a detailed turn by turn map?
