"Updating Cards" message when trying to pay with Apple Pay

Hi. I've been experiencing this issue for some time now (more than 1 month). When I try to pay with my phone (double-pressing the power button to trigger apple pay) it would appear the card on the screen but there's a message saying:

Updating cards

Apple Pay will be available when updates are complete.

I'm on iPhone X with iOS version 14.7.1. I tried turning off/on the iphone but wouldn't fix the problem. I can use the physical card, so it's not a problem with the bank, it seems to be a software issue.

Thanks.

iPhone X

Hi jcasapple

Thank you very much for the response. I tried the steps you mentioned but it didn't seem to fix the issue.

  1. Updated the Billing address, even though I updated it to the same one that I was before.
  2. Updated the email.
  3. Updated the phone. I actually just added the USA pre-fix +1, the rest was already correct
  4. All the previous steps didn't seem to make the trick so I turned off/on the device (iPhone X).
  5. Since step 4 didn't fix the issue either I deleted the Apple Card from the iPhone Wallet.

Now I seem to have even a worst issue, which is I can't add the Apple Card back into my wallet.

This is what I see right now when trying to add the Apple Card back to the Wallet.

Thanks, everyone!

Have a nice day!
