WHEN WILL YOU FIX KNOWN PS4 ACCESSIBILITY ISSUE?

How do you turn subtitles on apple tv app for the PS4? There is no option to toggle it on. It just lets me choose a style under the subtitles and captioning menu. No on/off option. And I see someone else asked this same question back in March 2021 (5 months ago) and 225 people reported this same problem here, but there's no answer still. When is an answer or update coming?
