Well you can try —

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)

and

Try resetting the SMC http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

If no resolve—then yes it points to a hardware issue. Take it in.
