Hard Shield case on Mac M1 is harmful.

is the case on M1 can harm the Mac or can create problems

Well, like wrapping anything else is a chunk of plastic, you are wrapping it with an insulator, which plastic is quite effective ad doing.


All Mac Laptops are designed to dissipate heat through their metal case. In the case of the new MacBook Air, it does not have a fan so dissipating heat through its metal case is a bit more important.


However, if external appearance is more important than allowing the Mac to run as cool as possible, that is your choice.
