iTunes on apple TV not accepting my password with verification code...

I just changed my iTunes password as suggested by Password Management... I am able to log into itunes on all my apple devices except apple tv... I have entered my password and added my verification code at the end of it. Then pressed okay on the verification code on my phone and pressed submit... i keep getting that the password is incorrect... so frustrating... thank you for any advice.

Hi Eric, this is not working for me. basically when I get into settings of Apple TV, I go into iTune Store and cannot see my Apple ID there... it is an old ID I have there... so I put my more recent one in, which I have actually been using for a few years (so not sure why it is no longer there). I then add the password and the code, but it is rejecting them... I am accessing apple tv on my macbook pro... but not on the TV using the appleTV box. Do you have any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
