Transferring your Apple Watch cellular to a New Service

I switched services and I’m trying to set up cellular on my Apple Watch series 6 and every time I try to set it up with the Watch app, it says “connection to the server was lost.” Anyone else have this issue?

We understand that you are trying to set up your Apple Watch on a new cellular network. You are getting an error message that the "connection to the server was lost". It looks like you've reviewed the following support article to set up cellular on the Apple Watch. Note from the "Before you start" section, "Your iPhone and Apple Watch must use the same carrier, and you must be within your carrier's network when you set up cellular on your watch."
