My voice so bad when using airpods or any wireless headphone on mac mini.

Hi all,


Can anyone tell me why my voice so bad using airpods pro or any wireless headphone on mac mini while using apps that need microphone such a discord, microsoft teams, line call.

Is there possibility to fix this?

Btw I'm using mac mini 2020, macOS Big Sur 11.5.2

Assuming you're using only bluetooth-enabled devices, I would highly recommend USB-based headpones/mics for most things.


There are multiple reasons for audio (esp. microphone) issues via Bluetooth, the most common being saturated 2.4Ghz spectrum and limitations of the aged A2DP/SBC codec.


In my usage, I normally see issues with BT mics cutting out when switching apps (e.g., quit one, open another).
