Photo albums greyed out and not accessible

I have had help with an Apple Support person recently with this issue... but it's happened again.

I can access shared albums on my laptop. BUT I CANNOT access photos that belong to me and are saved in the Cloud. The album titles in the photos menu are greyed out and I cannot click on them. Last time I accessed my photos they were working fine... now they're not.

Please help!

Have you had a chance to verify if iCloud Photos is turned on in the Photos app? If not, let's verify that by following these helpful steps: Set up and use iCloud Photos


In addition, we suggest to see if there are set limits or downtime usage for apps on your Mac. Here's how: Use Screen Time on your Mac
