bluetooth keyboard

my bluetooth keyboard is connecting to my 2014 mac mini but after last update it still says connected but keys not functioning the trackpad is working as expected. I have restarted computer but I cant get past the login in screen

Reset both the NVRAM and SMC, and try the keyboard again.
