mac OS big sur failed

Hello,

I was doing the mac Sur update on my mac. Prior to starting this update, I made sure I had enough storage in my Mac.

At first, it all went well, and the update seemed to be going at a good pace. But then, it got stuck at 10% or less. And it has been stuck like that for 2 days now.

I tried turning the computer off, and restarting it a couple times. Nothing worked. I am very concerned, as I need my computer. What would you do in my shoes?

Does anybody have any tips? Or knows any keyboard commands to “quit an update” ??

Try to get it to boot into Recovery and re-install macOS from there which hopefully will still be intact. Your data should still remain intact by doing a re-install.:
