Email Client keeps closing - can I delete mail client without losing emails then reinstall

Apple icon top left - force quit and choose Apple Mail

Are you referring to Apple Mail Application ?? It is built into the OS and can not be removed or deleted nor reinstalled.

Helpful but the problem still closing the mail application so would like to know how to solve or at least a suggestion
