Wifi stays on when Mac goes to sleep

Why did apple remove the feature that allows users to decide if they want wifi access to remain connected or not?

Why not let the user decide? rather than force this on us?

Is there a reasonable decision for this?

thumbs down apple

Guess have already tried System Preferences >> Energy Saver and disabled " Power Nap " and " Wake for Network access " ??

That and Terminal " man pmset " and read up on low level changes that can be made.

Lastly and always most definitive method - Turn Wifi Off when one knows the computer will not be required for a specific period of time. Wake and tun On Wifi.
