AirPod Pros Make My Phone Glitch

Whenever I connect my AirPods, my phone starts to delay. And it only happens when they are connected. Spotify slows down a ton, refuses to play the music through the AirPods. Snapchat freezes before opening. YouTube greets me with a message from each video: "Something went wrong, please try again later". Even the volume buttons don't respond until 30 seconds later. But the second I disconnect the AirPods, everything is fine again! YouTube plays videos fine, Snapchat is opening again, and Spotify doesn't freeze. I've downloaded the latest software update and reset my AirPods but nothing seems to work! Very frustrating.
