Powerpoint docs won't save

I'm getting an error message saying I cannot save my file because it's "loaded by another user at the moment" - I haven't shared the file or opened it on another device, so what's going on?

I'm using Big Sur 11.5.2 and Powerpoint for Mac 16.52
