new apple 12 mini
My one month old phone will not respond to touch I have tried shutting it off and resetting but it will not let me slide to power off. Is there another way to shut it down to try to restart it

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
