I'm looking to erase the disk on my MacBook Air and then reinstall it to clear up a glitch that was diagnosed by a technician. I have Adobe Lightroom, would it reinstall automatically and save my catalog?

Here are some steps that may help.

Back up your Mac.
Erase your Mac.
Install a clean copy of macOS.
Set up your Mac as new without migrating data.
