Red/purple/pink flesh and background colouring when I'm using Zoom on my iMac desktop computer

When I'm on Zoom on my iMac desktop computer, I look purple and pink. I'm not. My flesh and also the colours of the background look like they've shifted towards the red end of the spectrum.

It's not just the display on my own iMac - that's how it looks to other recipients of my Zoom meetings also.

Help?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.14

Hello ThingTw0,

Having a clear camera is important when connecting with others. Is this only happening when using Zoom or other apps that use the camera too? If you're not sure, see what happens when using the camera in Photo Booth. Here's a guide on using Photo Booth, just in case: Take a photo or record a video in Photo Booth on Mac

If this is only happening within the Zoom application, we recommend reaching out to their support to look into settings and such with you: How to contact an app developer

Thanks, and take care.

Thanks. Just about to get back to this and detail check bits like this. I don't think it's the iMac camera itself, though, because the same thing happens when I plug in a logi webcam instead into the iMac and try it on Zoom.

So I suppose logically it's the iMac itself. Could I suppose maybe be Zoom (but not affecting my correspondents on Zoom so probably not), or possibly the lighting in the room where the iMac is (but plenty of warm/white lighting and the same thing happens before dawn but also at midday with all the curtains pulled and plenty of natural light.

It's frustrating! I've a lot of lectures and interviews coming up and it would be preferable not to look like a risen corpse with sunburn..
