pink screen on Macbook Pro 2018

Have any of you had the pink screen on your Macbook Pro 2018?

I didnt drop nor crack my screen. I just opened it, and it displayed the pink column screen.

Do any of you have any idea what's going on with my screen? Is there anything you can suggest to help me with this?

I really need to get my laptop fixed as soon as possible, especially now that school has started.

your comments will be much appreciated :)

I have similar problem with my macbook pro 2017 model - and I have been told that apple covers only models from 2016 for this problem.

Till apple recognizes the design flaw with the flexgate which is leading to this problem with the display, the repair (complete display replacement alongwith the co-joined flexgate cable) will be at cost of user (And it costs a lot!!)

This is rather disappointing and looking at such large number of reported cases of this problem, Apple should have taken the corrective action by now.

Hello Leroy,

Is Apple not doing something about series of problem which are being reported in 2017 Macbook screens ? My macbook works just fine with an external display. Needless to say, I did not drop the macbook or physically damage the screen in any way - the screen got pink bars just like this one fine day while I was adjusting the laptop display angle while working.

How exactly does Apple get to know about the design issues / quality issues if not through user feedback?
