Exercise app pauses

The exercise app pauses mid-exercise. I’m on the stair master at a steady clip, and it just randomly pauses. I’ve tried turning off the “running auto pause” function and still the problem persists.

Exercise app pauses every time making it a disruption to my exercise I just bought this thing and first workout was fine now it’s just constantly auto pausing when I weight lift or run making it kinda pointless to have the thing. I toggled the auto pause like other articles have said, turned it off completely, enabled precise location, turned it off, updated it and I’m pretty disappointed. I’ve read that tattoos cause issues and I’m covered, how did it work before and not now? Additionally how tf hasn’t apple fixed this if it’s the case?
