CAC Card reader on Mac OS Big Sur 11.4

I had my CAC card reader. Installed using Chrome. Followed the steps on MiitaryCAC.com. It worked fine. I logged out and logged back in to try it again. Now when after I get past the screen where I click on my certificate, it asks for my pin, which it no longer accepts. This is all done on CHROME. I'll be to the screen where it says google chrome is trying to authenticate user, and it doesn't accept my pin now.

Installed using Chrome.

What did you install using Chrome? The Smart Card services do not require you install anything. Maybe updated drivers for the Card Reader, but that would not be done with Chrome. Anything else you installed would likely interfere with the built-in services.

Have you tried using another Browser? I get the most consistent success using a Private Window in Safari and Edge. I would never allow Chrome on my Macs, so I can't offer any guidance relative to Chrome. Edge is Chromium-based and I didn't have to install anything into it to use my CAC with an extremely old card reader that never required any software to make it work.
