EXPLICIT MUSIC NOT SHOWING in apple music IOS14... Iphone 12 Mini

my apple music is not showing explicit music when i search it. If a clean version is available it shows only that. To find an explicit track, i have to search the artist, then find the album and then somehow i can get the explicit track. I have latest running ios, i checked content restrictions in screen time as well, which is already set to explicit.

Im using apple music family plan. Previously i was using same family plan on another iphone, that time i had no such problem. Now i switched to 12 mini and since then im facing this issue.

i went thru discussions available online, plenty of people faced same trouble, but nobody could provide solution for it.

please guys, help out. Im sailing so im unable to contact apple support.

these discussions are my only hope.

PS only reason i use iphone still, is apple music.

please help out !

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 14

Hi shantmanu,

Thanks for the update. Let's try signing out and then back into your Apple ID next. You can do this by going into your Settings app > [your name] > Media & Purchases > Sign out. Then you'll want to repeat the same step to sign in.

You'll want to note that this will remove your music from your iPhone while you're signed out, but your library will sync back onto your iPhone once you're logged in again. If you don't see your music afterwards, you'll want to ensure that Sync Library is enabled here: Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music

Cheers.

Hi shantmanu,

We understand that you're experiencing issues searching for explicit content in Apple Music. We know how important music can be, so let's check this out together. You mentioned that you're able to locate some explicit songs when you complete a deeper search, but are you still able to play the song once you do?

You also mentioned that you have set your restrictions to allow explicit content within your Screen Time settings. Have you attempted to disable Content & Privacy Restrictions altogether and then see if you're still having an issue?

In addition, we'd also recommend completing the troubleshooting steps outlined in If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open.

Be well.

Hey man. Tried what you mentioned already. Still facing same problem. When i open drake essentials on apple music it shows all clean versions. When i open rap life playlist it shows maximum clean versions. Only a few bit with explicit versions though there are explicit versions available for other ones. I have gone thru the discussions and many people have faced same problem but alas, nobody provided solution. please help out further if you can.

thanks.
