printer question
Can a canon MF4700n printer be used with my 24inch iMac?
Can a canon MF4700n printer be used with my 24inch iMac?
OK. Yes, it should be possible to use the printer in question with your iMac (except if it is one of the oldest 24-inch iMac models). Please confirm the model year.
Do you wish to use a network (Ethernet) connection to one of the LAN ports of a Wi-Fi router? Alternatively, a USB connection would be possible.
To begin with, it may be a good idea to reset the printing system. Does the operating system offer a suitable driver to use when (re-)adding the printer?
Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem - Apple Support
Add a printer on Mac - Apple Support
If necessary, go to one of the above support pages, choose your operating system version, and download the appropriate drivers.

Any information about the operating system version and the iMac model year (there were earlier 24-inch iMac models)?
It is there.
Select operating system macOS Big Sur v11.0 (not macOS 11) - the US support page (link above).
Select macOS 11 (and Search) - the Singapore support page (link above).

Good luck!
Before installing/testing printer drivers, make sure that you have (multiple) backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera). Software conflicts can never be ruled out.
Yes, that model :)
Thank you, I will give it a go and let you know the result. 🤞😁
Thank you again….victory😁
