Hi the instructions listed on this web page https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208684 do not work for outlook and or thunderbird email. Does anyone here know how to configure my @icloud.com to work with Thunderbird mail or outlook or windows mail ?

We apologize for the previous response as we meant to say Thunderbird for Windows and the Outlook app for Windows. In using those apps or webmail, you will need to use the app-specific password in order to get your iCloud emails using those third party apps. Please see the section titled “How to generate an app-specific password” in the previously provided link. Then, you will use your app-specific password with your iCloud email when setting up iCloud email with Thunderbird.

Thanks I setup icloud for windows and log in. Seeing that if I am logged into icloud for windows. I do not need a third party app password.
I did not know thunderbird works on a mac too. But right now I am setting up my @icloud.com to work with thunderbird email for MS Windows 10.

Since you were able to set up iCloud for Windows successfully, you should be receiving your emails from your iCloud email. If not, we recommend you try the steps in the previously provided link.
Should you be using the Thunderbird for Mac or Outlook for Mac, then you will need to use an app-specific password in order to access your iCloud emails.
