How do I clean up my gmail inbox.

It seems that I cannot right click on the mouse and get an option to select all items that are the same or from the same contact. I used to right click, select the add all items from same contact and then delete all of those items once they were on the screen. Now with my new All in One, with the magic mouse, I can't right click to organize all the emails from for example Zillow. And then I was able to delete all Zillow emails.

Without looking over your shoulder I can't work out what was your previous procedure so I'll describe how to do block delete in the Mac mail app.

  • Use the search function to select your target mails
  • left click on the one at the top of the list
  • to delete all, click on Edit in the menu bar, then Select All, then Delete
  • to delete selected emails, Command-left click on each one and then Edit ->delete. Or swipe left on an individual email to reveal the delete button.

I've always used this procedure and it works for me.
