Apple ID used for password recovery

Can any one tell me how change the Apple ID used when you do password recovery on MacOS?

I don’t think there’s a direct means to do that combination; both recovery and Apple ID change. If you still have access to the login, you can change the Apple ID. But if you have neither… And there’s no password recovery here, there’s a password reset. This sequence typically clobbers Keychain contents, for instance. The Apple ID you’re (also) changing is the Apple ID associated with your login. If you’re trying to change that user-to-Apple-ID association, you might as well follow the new-Mac-owner sequence, or the whole-new-login-user sequence. Or wipe and re-install and use Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant to load your old contents with your new Apple ID.
