How to restore Apple Maps data?

Just restored from a backup and my Apple maps collections/guides are gone. It still shows the names of each of the collections/guides but all the places that were saved within them are gone.

Restore Apple maps I deleted Apple Maps in iPhone, then I follow instructions to restore it through Apple Store to downloaded it. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted again. This time, I went to Apple Store searching it, what I could do was “open” it, could not download it, so no way to put the icon back to the home page. Any one know how to restore. Is?

Why did all my saved places as well as lists in "My guides" from apple maps disappear & I have not been able to retrieve them since the previous software update?? Please advise.? Iphone 12 Pro Max. I have tried deleting the app and re-installing it but, this did not work. How can I retrieve them and fix this?

Apple Maps no longer syncing to iCloud Hi, My Mac/iPhone Maps settings are both enabled and both signed into same account. It's not a settings issue. Both devices are updated to most current versions as of today (02/08/2021). Yesterday (02/07/2021) I added a new bookmark (my guide) last night to the Maps app on my Mac. Within a few minutes (i guess it's not instant like other applications), that new bookmark appeared in the Maps app on my iPhone. However, there was a typo in the name I gave the bookmark so I changed it in the Maps app on the Mac. It never updated on the in the Maps app on the iPhone. I continued and deleted a couple of outdated bookmarks in the Maps app on the Mac, those bookmarks remained in the Maps app on the on the iPhone. I added a new bookmark in the Maps app on the on the Mac and it never appeared in the Maps app on the on the iPhone. Today (02/08/2021) Nothing has changed. My bookmarks in the Maps app on the on my Mac and in the Maps app on the iPhone are mutually exclusive at this point. I disabled iCloud Maps on my phone. This erased all bookmarks and favorites, as expected. I killed Maps app from background after checking. I then re-enabled iCloud Maps on the iPhone and nothing has synced. I tried this several times, no success. Afterwhich, I disabled iCloud Maps on my Mac. As expected, this erased my bookmarks and favorites on the Mac. I quit out of Maps, re-enabled the option again and nothing has synced. Anyone know what's going on with Maps + iCloud? Is this feature that once was and no longer is? I'm a bit frustrated that I've seemingly lost all my bookmarks that I've collected over the years. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with your Apple Maps locations being restored from a backup. Maps settings and bookmarks are included but automatically stored in iCloud. Frequent locations are not included in an iCloud backup.

Thanks for the response, I was wondering about if it restored the guides within Apple Maps, they used to be called collections I believe but now they’re called guides, I know that they must back up to some degree due to the fact that it recovered each of the guides or essentially folders but none of the actual addresses or “places” within the folders.
