Connectivity - have a problem accessing keychain with catalina 11.5.2 for NordVPN
if no resolution occurs in accessing keychain I loose internet access. Can you help?

Firstly, Catalina is version 10.15 and latest version is 10.15.7.
Bug Sur version 11.5.2 is the latest available macOS.
The Mid 2013 MacBookPro does not Qualify for Big Sur as per https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT211238 from Apple.
Keychain is built into the version of macOS installed on this computer whether is is Catalina or Big Sur. Getting access under normal circumstance is just by logging into the computer with the password the user has established.
Commercial VPNs should only be used if Mandated by Corporate Head Office for working remotely. Otherwise - ones Privacy and Security touted by the VPN is suspect.
The installed VPN has Zero bearing on Keychain access at all.
