Can I attach and send a file from a local email client when the file is located on a wan mounted server?
I have tried about different email clients and none will send the attached files so am wondering if I have to download files to local machine before sending.
Remote machine is PC, locals are running High Sierra. (In the past using G5s am sure we could just drag from mounted server on to Thunderbird and were sent no problem.
Appreciate any info/guidance/sources of info.

By google changing, do you mean this perhaps?
Many eMail providers now require a separate App Password different from your eMail password…

I cannot use Mail as Google has changed and now need to sign up to Dreamhost.
Have tried with multiple email clients so I suppose this is the issue!
Short term maybe just have to bite the bullet and sign up.
Google sucks :(
Should work to just drag & drop it in Mail... what happens exactly?
