Cannot sign in to the app store with my apple id in mac air m1 (new user).

I got my new mac two days ago and since then I could not just sign in to install or update any app from the app store. Attempting the same gives a dialogue box saying "This apple id has not yet been used with the app store....and it asks to review" but even clicking on review and re-entering the id and password redirects into the same window with same dialogue box asking for review again and again.

please let me know how to sort this out, it is getting frustrating.
