AppleCare

I recently purchased an new iPhone 12 for my wife. Unfortunately it took three attempts by Apple and UPS to actually deliver the iPhone. I paid for AppleCare $149, and I am being charged for it. But when I look at my wife's phone, it says AppleCare is available. I just checked the invoice and the serial numbers do not completely match. How can I correct this error?

Contact apple support via phone/chat. You will need the original invoice as proof of purchase, let them handle it from there. They will do it in a very professional way!
