sidecar not working wirelessly

Hello everybody,

I just acquired a new MacBook Air M1 , and I am trying to use it with my Ipad Pro 2018, by using SideCar.

It works well as a second screen when I connect the two with a cable. But there is no way to make it work wirelessly.

I have checked everything: same ID, same wifi network, bluetooth activated, handoff enabled.

But I cannot have the iPad recognized by the Mac when I am working wireless: the Mac simply doesn't see the iPad in the top monitor menu.

Any help ?

Thank you.

It appears that you have covered all your bases to make SideCar work wirelessly between your iPad and your MacBook Pro. You mentioned the top monitor menu. Are you able to go into your MacBook Pro’s System Preferences and then open SideCar and connect to the iPad? Not sure whether that will resolve anything however it is another way to connect the two devices.

To isolate the issue further, how about using another Wi-Fi Network and see if that works? If it does then we know that the issue may be with the settings of the current Wi-Fi Network.
