Using Siri to find my phone- no ping heard

Previous advice on this problem was to use the find my friends app….on the phone….which you can’t find….which is why you’re using the AirPods.

Having finally found my phone (yes it was lost in my doona), I tested the find my phone operation. There was no sound from the phone nor was there any sound through the AirPods. There was a visual alert on the phone that there was an alert, and apparently I need to point out that this is not helpful if the phone is lost.

“is there anybody else there?” who can help?

Hello,

If your AirPods are out of Bluetooth range, out of charge, or in the case with the cover closed, Find My won't give a current location. You just have to find them manually by looking for them. However, Find My may list the most recent location where they were last connected.

See this for more detail:

How to find your lost AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max

Good luck.
