MacBook Pro suddenly stops working... possible logic board malfunction??

Okay, so I am currently in the process of getting my MacBook Pro bought in 2020 repaired. I don’t even know how it got to this. I’ve never dropped it, spilled liquid on it, or did anything crazy with it. Just one morning it wouldn’t charge and it was just black... basically I brought it to a simply Mac store and then they told me it might be something with the logic board and how they aren’t comfortable doing stuff to it? Even though they’re apple certified??? Like the apple website lead me to them. Then they said I might have to pay like $700+ or something for labor and possible replacements... now just waiting. But it just doesn’t sit well with me. I feel like a MacBook shouldn’t just do this. We buy these products for it’s quality but this kind of ruins apple for me... I don’t know what to do now because I am a working full-time student too so getting this fee is heart breaking to me. It’s just crazy to me to be okay with paying more than half the amount of my MacBook as a repair fee for something I couldn’t control. Not to mention I’m still paying this MacBook off, that’s how new it is... even looking at my Mac book it looks fresh. Can someone help reassure me. Like is it possible for apple to waive the fee or something if it’s a factory defect? Because it seems that it is... unless they say some random excuse. Please someone help me out, I’ve been so stressed out about this.
