Airdrop Says 'Unable to Share'

When i try to airdrop from my 9.7 in. iPad pro to my Macbook Air, it pops up 'preparing' and a loading circle, but immediately it then says, 'Unable to Share : There was an error while preparing to share. Please try again later' And this has been happening for weeks, it usually never works, sometimes if my iPad is fully charged maybe, but it still doesn't sometimes.

It might be because my storage is full, but thats the legit REASON why i'm air-dropping photos. I have a software update too, but my iPad wont let me update either.

Please help. I need some storage really soon.

iPad Pro, iOS 12

Hello SimplyAvacado,

We see that you're having some trouble using AirDrop between your devices. We'd be happy to help!

First you'll want to ensure that both devices are fully up to date.

As you mentioned that one device is full, you'll want to clear some space so you can update and test again. If you need more space for an update

Let us know if the issue continues after updating.

Cheers!
