Airdrop Unable to Share

I keep getting a frustrating error when attempting to Airdrop from my iPad mini 4 to my Macbook Pro, all running on the latest IOS and OS systems however I am getting the error "UNABLE TO SHARE, There was an error while preparing to share. Please try again later".

After numerous attempts one lot of 100 items were sent but now I keep getting that error.

I find this extremely frustrating when previous apple reps have said there are no data limitations or item limits to the ability to transfer however the capability is obviously flawed or limited in one way or another.

You can try these solutions:

Make sure both devices are together
Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Turn off mobile hotspot
Set AirDrop receiving to everyone
Make sure the receiver has enough storage
Restart your iPhone
Logout from iCloud and then login again
Try sharing one file at a time
