Bluetooth Keyboard Lag

While it doesn't happen all the time, it IS a problem. My first solution was to turn Bluetooth off on my iMac, but as you can guess, then I have no devices to turn it back on again. I have a wired mouse close by that I've been using for this, but someone suggested just turning off the keyboard, and then back on, so I'll give that a try next time this happens. This is why I'm not a fan of wireless input devices.

And the funny thing is, when the keyboard is in Lag Mode, the wireless mouse works just fine. Go Figure.

Turning Bluetooth back on when mouse and keyboard require Bluetooth I have a magic keyboard and mouse which I believe both require Bluetooth to operate. I turned Bluetooth off in the system preferences as part of trouble shooting a numlock issue with the keyboard, and of course now have no way of turning Bluetooth back on (as the keyboard and mouse both require Bluetooth). Is there any way to force Bluetooth back on? I’ve got no way of controlling the computer at the moment and pressing shift while I restart doesn’t seem to be triggering safe mode. Grateful for any assistance as we go back into home learning again…

Mac mini bluetooth connectivity issues My Majic Mouse 2 goes wonky after just a few minutes of connection. This also happens to every 3rd party bluetooth keyboard and mouse that I have tried. All of this makes me think that it's my Mac Mini that's the problem. Any suggestions?

Bluetooth Intermittent - iMac 2020 & Big Sur This iMac is just about 2 months old. Big Sur has been installed since it came out. I'm now noticing that the bluetooth has become intermittent. Here's what happens: Usually I'll notice it first in the mouse -- the Apple bt mouse that came with the 2020 iMac. It'll be responding slowing, like not very precise. Then it'll stop moving altogether. About 10 seconds later I see a popup on the screen that the Apple bluetooth keyboard has disconnected. Both devices are unresponsive for 10-15 seconds when the screen pop-up says that the keyboard is connected. Suddenly the mouse works too. This has happened three times today. In an effort to solve it I found a suggestion to go to Library>Preferences>Bluetooth and to delete two mouse bluetooth plist files. I did this and restarted. It did not make a difference. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
