You need to have Apple or an AASP examine the Mac to provide you with a repair estimate. Prices vary by model, part needed, and region.

It’s a fairly easy fix if it’s only a bad hard drive. I had the same issue. You will need to buy a hard drive and tools. Tools will costs under $50. There are also step by step videos.
