Apple pencil 2 - not being responsive with double tap

I am using iPad Pro 2021 and I just bought an apple pencil 2 two days ago, when I am writing with the pencil, after writing, my apple pencil won’t recognize the double tap instantly, I have to double tap it again so that the other colors of inks would pop up. is my pencil broken?

Ensure that your iPad Pro is updated to the latest version of iPadOS. Here is ➔ How to update your iPad.
➔ Shut down and restart your iPad Pro.
If the performance of your Apple Pencil 2 still does not improve then ➔ Reconnect your Apple Pencil to your iPad Pro.

I just found another forum with the same issue. Apparently there’s a setting inside the Accessibility menu. Go to Accessibility then Apple Pencil. There’s a Double Tap on/off switch.
