Can't access AirDropped file

I sent a file from my iPhone to my 2015 MacBook Pro via AirDrop. My iPhone registered the file as sent. However, I cannot find the file on my Macbook, even though the Airdrop window on my Macbook shows that the iPhone is visible.

AirDrop I can't find files the I am airdropping from my iPhone to my iMac. The iMac makes the sound that it received the files but when I check the Downloads folder there's nothing.

Airdrop not working anymore with my iphone Hi guys, I'm using a lot airdrop for years to transfer screenshots or pictures from my Iphone X (15.3) to my Macbook. Did you check the Mac’s Downloads folder? What type of file was it?
