Disappearing signatures in Mail

Apparently this has been going on forever and Apple wont fix it! I put in a new signature. It works for a day or so. Then it vanishes. I put it in again. It vanishes. I put in a other version, under a completely new name. It vanishes.

Apple Mail signatures won't save When I input a signature, it disappears the next time I open the Mail application.
